Pleading with the Senate now ---
I am extremely concerned about the over-reaching power grab ensnared within H.R.3962 - Affordable Health Care for America Act. If you or any of your fellow Senators vote in favor of it I can only conclude one of two possibilities. You are either too close to the situation and are blind to the arms of power seeking to strip liberty from "We the People" OR you have been seduced by the promises of power and control yourself and have forgotten that government was meant to be the servant of "We the People" NOT OUR MASTER!!!
You delude yourselves in thinking this path will begin to resolve the problems with Health Insurance coverage for it will only make things worse. I have debated the Health Care Problems for many year and it is clear governmental intervention will only make it worse. The track record is painfully obvious and Pres Reagan was right when he said "Government Does Not Solve Problems It Subsidizes them" This House Bill was drafted behind closed doors with "deals" made far from public scrutiny. It reeks of corruption and lays the ground work for an avalanche of future legislation that will continue to strip our freedom.
We are not stupid! We know what is happening right now. We know a power grab when we see one!!! Even when they wrap it in the humanitarian packaging of Health Care for those less fortunate and tie it up with the bow of altruism! Government --- not the Democrats or the Republican but all members of the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches who seek to overextend their powers beyond those designated in the constitution! --- I say Government is attempting to take the power from "We the People" and begin to strip us of our constitutional rights. When I learned that the Bill contained regulations for vending machines I saw the writing on the wall! There is no aspect of our lives that this legislation will not ultimately be able to intrude upon!
When I was a child I was told "there is more than one way to skin a cat" which taught me that there is more than one way to look at and resolve any problem. There are about a million solutions to the health care problems and none of them should involve the Government --- Especially the Federal Government! This kind of legislation is contrary to letter and spirit of the Constitution.
Please vote against H.R.3962 - Affordable Health Care for America Act. This Bill will do very little to resolve the Health Insurance and Health Care problems. Sadly it will create even more accessibility problems, bureaucracies and financial burdens than currently exist. Regular Americans like our family will be unfairly burdened with more dollars chasing less services. We DO NOT support this Bill! We are not blind! We see the intrusion of Government and loss of personal freedom that will result from this Plan. The thought of government regulating a vending machine is so incomprehensible. A Rant!!!
I can remember the Jimmie Carter mess of the 70s --- yes he was such a Foreign Policy Genius that we ended up with hostages in Iran for 444 days!!! Now he has the nerve to criticize other Presidents on Foreign Policy. And then there was his economic expertise that gave us 21% interest rates on Home and Car Loans and scary inflation. Then there is my personal favorite --- a misery index of about 37! Okay, so it as only 21.98!!!! This is priceless because he created the misery index to criticize President Ford at 12.66 but that came back to killed him in the end!
Reagan Conservatism is what we need to clean up this mess. Reagan moved us into smaller government and lower taxes --- which unleashed almost 2 decades of unprecedented posterity!
We needed Romney and got Obama! We have Huckabee to thank for that. Romney could have nailed Obama to the wall in every debate! We would have never had this Tarp mess. The Auto companies would have gone into Bankruptcy when they should have and all this Bailout nonsense would have never happened! We wouldn't have all of these Marxist Progressive Cockroaches crawling all over the White House!
Read the real history of 20th Century Progressives like Woodrow Wilson who was one of the biggest racists we ever had as President. I am so sick of them disguising their true agenda with my palatable word choices. This Health Care Bill has very little to do with solving the problems with health care and does quite a lot to expand government, increase taxes and is just the beginning of endless regulations and bureaucracies that will control our lives and steal our freedom! Regulating Vending machines is a foreshadowing of the nightmares that await us with the passage of this ridiculous legislation!!!!!

Our Family has lived in San Diego for over 60 yrs and I need to remind you that you are an elected Representative of California’s 51st District. You took an oath to uphold, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.
I represent our family. Six of us, who are of voting age and live in the 51st District, are extremely concerned about the over-reaching power grab ensnared within H.R.3962 - Affordable Health Care for America Act. Multiple Generations living off of one Pension?
I was chatting with my niece today who is a 25 yr old single mom of 2 small boys living with her Dad. She made a very astute observation about the "REAL" state of the recession that is supposed to be ending soon. She observed that during the great depression Grandparents were not living off of these great pensions that so many in our time have been blessed with. In our current Economic reality we have Grand parents and Great Grand parents who have lived frugally and either own their home outright or have a relatively small mortgage they are paying off.
These modern retirees have been wise with their money throughout their lives and they have savings in addition to their pension plans and Social Security Checks. These older Americans are using their excess income and savings to keep their posterity afloat.
We have noticed this phenomenon in ourown multigenerational family economy. My parents help my Brother help his daughter and her boys financially. I buy clothes for my niece's boys when I have extra money and I try to buy little things for my niece that she doesn't have the funds herself. There is a lot of unselfish focus on keeping everyone fed and clothed and finding little extras when we can. No one takes luxury vacations nor do we make frivolous purchases. We shop at the outlets, sales and Costco. We buy bulk TP and split it between 3 households. I live with my parents so they can remain in their home in lieu of an assisted living center. I am self employed and have a very humble income. My dad planned for his retirement and saved wisely which has resulted in all the generations of our family treading water during these incomprehensible economic times.
In addition, we were thinking that this is having a direct effect on the crime rate NOT running wild like it did during the Great Depression.

It would have been insulting for her contributions to be compared with those of Jimmy, Al & Obama. I'm pretty sure she has received a much greater reward than any of them will ever receive.

One Nation Under God ---
Bottom line --- We are all Americans!
My ancestors come from all over Europe. My paternal Great Great Great Great Grandfather came to this country about 1816. Another Great Great Great Grandfather fought in the Civil War. My family lines have been here long enough to let go of the "mother country" ties.
Last week I kept thinking
we are One Nation
One People
One Heart committed to Liberty
We need to unite again as a nation and BE ONE!
9-11 gave us 9-12
We were all Americans that day.
Our hearts were knit together in sorrow for all that was lost on 9-11
We shared a renewed love of our country and fellow citizens.
We need to find that unity again.
Part of the legacy of the Clinton's is one of dividing this country. They drove a wedge so deep that it could not be removed. They vilified their opponents and gave birth to the Politics of Personal Destruction! Then they accused the Conservatives of being the very thing that they were --- partisan and divisive.
The Clintons controlled the focus and direction of the Democratic Party. I watched the Party embrace every special interest and radical fringe group on the map! In the Party's effort to please every one they abandoned basic core values which are the foundation of this country. In the end the party lost it's soul and left the average American out in the cold. As the Republican Party allowed themselves to be sucked into the sniping they were manipulated and compromised their core values. They also lost their soul and left the Common Man feeling abandoned and betrayed.
Now we, the average Americans, stand in the midst of the destruction. Our hearts know what is right and we feel that something is very wrong in our country. For the first time in our lives the voice within us is screaming at us to stand and speak up --- "Fight for the Constitution." We can see it being destroyed by those who vowed to protect it. We just want to live our lives. The last thing we ever wanted was to become politically active. However, we know that this country is a gift from God. We know that we are blessed to be Americans. Knowing these things compels us to action.
Now we struggle to find our role as guardians of freedom. We listen to that voice within to find our small part in this call to action. On April 18, 1775 Robert Newman sneaked into an empty Old North Church to hang two lanterns in the belfry. Betsy Ross sewed together the first American Flag at the request of George Washington, Robert Morris, and George Ross in May 1776. No action is too small for each will build upon the others. Most importantly, we must stand together in civility.
In December of 1773 a group of frustrated citizens turned Boston harbor into a Tea Pot. It's important to note that the Boston Tea Party was not a violent protest. The ships’ crews attested that nothing had been damaged or destroyed except the tea. The protesters even swept the decks clean afterward. The Massachusetts Gazette reported that "when it was realized that a padlock that had been broken was the personal property of one of the ships’ captains, a replacement was procured and sent to him."
Arrogant and "Well Educated" Snobs looking down their noses at the "common man" are calling us racists, terrorists, bible thumpers, hicks, simpletons, radicals, mindless mobs and even ASTRO TURF!!! We feel betrayed and abandoned by both political parties and those we elected to represent us. Obama's speech last night was extremely partisan. He and those who surround him continue to drive the wedge even deeper. A house divided against itself will not stand is ringing through my mind. We must distance ourselves for those who would tear us apart.

My Blood Pressure has to be off the Charts!!!
Regarding the Obama Speech to Congress tonight ---
AAAUUUGGGHHH!!!!
I can't keep from screaming at the TV when "His Highness the Lord Obama" spews his rhetoric in his "cooler than anyone on the planet" smoothness! I can't handle it when he presents an idea as his own that the "evil" George W Bush articulated April 27, 2005 regarding "The Future of Energy Policy" in Washington, DC. Bush proposed that Congress enable groups like the SBA to be able to buy Health Insurance to offer it's members at a reduced rate.
This is one of the most DISINGENUOUS, DIVISIVE and MANIPULATIVE men ever to hold the office of President. To say that the Economy is back from the brink is delusional. We are worse off because of all Obama's meddling. There is a second wave of financial collapse on the horizon. Before Obama is done he will make Jimmy Carter look like a financial genius!
To call opponents of his ideas lairs while he is lying himself is beyond reprehensible!
At that I had to go water the garden!!!
I just finished watching the rest of it ---
the self-righteous indignation was sooooo over the top!
The Bleeding Heart rhetoric was shameless.
If you don't agree with the great Obama's Government health care Plan then you are evil, selfish, cruel and uncompassionate.
Yes that describes me to a Tee!!!
He couldn't resisting throwing stones at Conservatives.
Picking at Sarah Palin was inappropriate.
Ridiculing his critics doesn't win them over.
"We will Call You Out" --- them's fightin words Mr. President!!!
Let's free up the health care industry to truly function as a free market.
Tort Reform is a critical part of bringing down costs.
Change the way Health Insurance is marketed ---
get it out of the stewardship of the Employer's
Give the consumers the Tax Breaks
Package Health Insurance in a new way.
Sell various catastrophic hospital care packages separately
Sell various Pharmaceutical coverage packages separately
Have various Doctors Office visit packages sold separately or
Allow the Doctors more freedom to manage their own practice.
There are so many options available within a market of true freedom.

The local Rep in San Diego refused to have a Town Hall meeting --- and I was actually planning to go to it. He ignores my Faxes and emails so I wrote him a letter this time and started this Blog in Frustration.

Bob Filner covers his ears!!!
My parents live in Representative Bob Filner's district. I Faxed and Email him regarding the Cap and trade bill but he ignored me. I was planning on attending the Town Hall Meeting and voicing my opinion on the Healthcare bill but dear ol' Bob doesn't want to have any Town Hall Meetings! I found his UNBELIEVABLE video. These idiots were praising his courage! I call it Cowardice!

Here is the little note I sent to Bob Filner:
Dear Representative Bob Felner:
Your refusal to have a Town Hall Meeting during the August break has left me extremely disappointed. I am sorry sir but the only words that come to my mind are cowardice and arrogance. Cowardice in hiding from those you are supposed to represent and Arrogance in thinking that your opinions are more correct or valued more than any one of ours!
It was bad enough that you ignored the Faxes and Emails pleading with you NOT to support the Cap & Trade bill but to refuse to hold a town hall meeting in which "We the People" need to inform you of our opinions on this Health Care bill is beyond betrayal. How can you represent us if you refuse to hear us?
You were given a sacred public trust when you were elected to represent our opinions. We did not elect you to represent your own opinions nor the opinion that gets you party loyalty or political power and favors or even worse the opinion of those who do not live in our area who would line the pockets of some with dirty money. I hope that you are not found in any of these forms of betrayal for they are not honorable paths to pursue sir.
I beg you to reconsider and remember the true job description of a representative of "We the People" Please! Please! Please! Read the constitution and remember what the framers set up for us!
My heart breaks as I see my beloved country ensnaring itself in the chains of debt that will shackle the toddlers and unborn citizens of this country with this unjust burden. We are restricting them to diminished opportunities and a lesser quality of life then we have enjoyed because we are unwilling to pay for our own decadence. We have inflicted it upon them. They have no voice if I do not raise mine on their behalf.
Please think long and hard about what you are doing. You can fool yourself into thinking you are helping the common good with this healthcare bill but no one will be helped when the country is bankrupt! This unbridled spending started with Bush and it made me very angry!!! But this “panic mode” spending makes bush look like a penny pincher! ENOUGH already! Please use some common sense and stop spending money we don’t have and will never have! I am begging and pleading with you!
I live with my aging parents because they can’t afford “live-in” help. They have a tiny little home that they lived in almost all of their married lives. They have a very limited income and I only have a part-time job. Managing their healthcare expenses is difficult but a public healthcare option makes my knees buckle in fear. Please do not take us down this path. It WILL NOT be easier. It will be a nightmare and they will lose so much.
These public healthcare programs have been tried and are failing all over the globe. Let us learn from the mistakes of others and do what America always does --- find the new and better solution! Give us the support to innovate a new model of private healthcare that revolutionizes the system. I hear the voices here and there with great ideas and options but they are silenced by the greedy and powerful found in and out of government.
Please open your ears to those you represent!

My humble cries begin today!
I am a bit of a seamstress so I have always admired Betsy Ross' contribution to the fabric of our nation. More than a reference to our beloved flag my focus on Betsy Ross is her humble contribution to our country. Remember Betsy when you think you can't make a difference.
While Americans recognize and celebrate collective achievements such as the writing of the Declaration of Independence, victory in the Revolutionary War, or the landing of a man on the Moon — it is individual accomplishment that is cherished the most. The "stars" of the aforementioned events — Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, and Neil Armstrong — outshine the collective constellation. One person's contribution can define the course and meaning of history.
When we view the flag, we think of liberty, freedom, pride, and Betsy Ross. The American flag flies on the moon, sits atop Mount Everest, is hurtling out in space. The flag is how America signs her name.
It is no surprise that Betsy Ross has become one of the most cherished figures of American History.
